Niara had left Jasiri the very evening of the day they had met, but after she left she didnt return straight home, she had been wandering for the last few days, just thinking about Jasiri, her unborn cubs and her father, only now she thought it was right to re-enter her pride land. Her father was going to be fuming with her when he found her, not because he was angry, but because he was worried about her, but Naz knew that would be one thing he would never admit. Another reason why she took so long to come back was because Katili had this plan of getting her to be mates with a lion named Sitawi, a lion that Naz couldnt stand. She sat down in the long grass, her beautiful dark golden pelt blending in nicely with the colour of the grass, she was pregnant, but it was still hard to notice, any one wouldnt look twice... that is except her father. Katili had been watching over Naz all of her life, he knew her very well, exactly how she looked, exactly how she acted, and Naz knew that he would be able to tell almost straight away, to any other lions she would look no different, but her father would see the slight bump and know straight away that she was pregnant, and if he didnt spot that it would be her attitude that would give it away. She sighed, happy to be back, she layed down and basked in the heat of the sun, but a sudden noise caused her to lifet her head, her keen eyes darted around, but the grass was thick, she could see who was coming, she let out a warning growl just incase, "who's there!" she called out not letting her guard down just yet.

For a quick few moments, nothing revealed itself from the tall, dead grass. But in the end, a muscular and strong brute came through the grass and into sight. His powerful strides and dark mane was a sight to behold. One would think a young male his age was simply beginning to grow his mane, but already Sitawi already was bestowed with a magnificent mane. His maw, drawn into a smirk, looked gracefully down on the princess of Baya. For a few minutes, he only glanced at her, with all amusement gone. Than without saying a word, he proceeded to walk forwards, not giving Niara a second glance. As if she was only an ant mound and nothing more, nothing worth speaking too.
He merely grunted when Niara ordered who was there. He walked passed her, powerful muscles adjusting to every movement he made. There was blood soaked to his maw, showing his recent feast. He enjoyed hunting by himself and it’d be chaos the day he decides to have a female hunt for him. Unlike most males, Sitawi did most things himself, like hunting; instead of having the females wait on him or the cheetahs.
Sitawi snapped his tail towards Niara’s direction, a rather disrespectful actions. He didn’t care if Niara was the daughter of Katili, nor did he fear Katili. Sitawi was a favorite and he held that position long as he could remember. The dark lion scratched a lone dead tree with long, razor sharp claws. Each one digging deep into the tree and marking it with claw marks. Finally, without even calling Niara by her name and easily showing his disrespect, Sitawi lingered a bit longer with a low growl to his deep voice. "Katili is expecting you to find him. He seems extremely pissed."

The last lion she expected to see coming towards her was Sitawi, but here he was, his dark mane flowing as his powerful legs brought him over to her, most lionesses would melt at the sight of him, they did, but Niara thought he was stuck way to far up his own back end, that he loved himself more than he loved anyone else, and another thing that got on her nerves, he seemed to suck up to her father more than anyone else. Although she couldnt stand Sitawi she did like the fact that he didnt have the females wait on him, he always does things himself, but besides this one point, he was completely disrespectful, rude and above all, arrogant. As his tail swung round towards her, she ducked her head to avoid getting hit in the face by it, she let out a low rumbling growl as he went to the tree, she pulled herself to her feet, she stood there, beautiful coat gleaming, looking very beautiful, but she was glaring at the male as he spoke, she gave her tail a flick of annoyance, "well i expect by now he knows where i am, and, if he really is pissed, he will come looking for me" she said with a slight hiss, this was a different reaction to what she would normally take, normally she would say something demeaning to Sitawi and then go off to find her father, but now her hormones had changed it had made her emotions spike, and what she had said wasnt a lie either, if Katili was enranged with her, he would find her so she wouldnt have a chance of avoiding him.

Sitawi ignored Niara’s outburst, in fact, he wasn’t even phased by her defensive response. As Long as the lion could remember, the baya princess always had cold shoulder towards him. Even as cubs, they fought more often than Katili and Kizuri combined. Katili, no less, enforced this behavior even to the point a few times one or the other was seriously injured. Now as adults, two of the most favored of the Baya Clan, Niara and Sitawi still acted the same, competing to see who last the longest before they snapped and attempt to kill the other.
Sitawi grinned, not in the least amused, but arrogantly at her reaction. His paws retreated from the dead tree and focused their strength on the ground. He jumped skillfully onto the thick trunk, climbing to the branch that hung just above the lioness below. From there, Sitawi could see the king bashing around a few cheetahs and occasionally lashing out to draw blood. Katili’s daughter, below him, simply sat there and had a worried and annoyed look. The lion simply perked his maw when he saw Katili leave a very serious injured cheetah and began his way towards Sitawi and Niara.
"You’re wish came true. You best work on your story now, princess." Sitawi began, his tail lingering below him as if he was taunting the lioness. "You’re disappearance didn’t go unnoticed and I wonder what you’re father will say." Sitawi’s voice spoke every word carefully, easily sounding like he was talking to a cub. Obviously, there was sarcasm in his voice. One could easily interpret his speech into an insult towards Niara and her intelligence.
Niara was beautiful, no lion could find fault. For being the daughter of a craze maniac who enjoyed the lust of battle, you’d think his offspring could be covered with battle scars. But no, Niara was scar free and even her pelt seemed smooth. But his loathing towards the princess didn’t see anything besides she was a spoiled princess. Although, he did notice something slightly off. She didn’t appear very different, but something in her personality changed.

She gave a little angry growl at Sitawi and then ignored him, the other good thing about her being away from the pride was that it was enough time to loose the scent of a Jema lion from her own Baya scent. Niara could hear her father approaching, she now glanced at Sitawi in the tree and gave a sly smile before she ignored him again, she was clever and it seemed he had forgotten that, Niara was very quick to think on her feet, she knew her father would be angry with her, but she knew exactly what she was going to tell him.
She heard the rustling of the great male as he walked through the long grass just ahead on her, again thinking quickly, Niara lay down, if she stayed laying down and kept her attitude and emotions in check, he wouldnt be able to notice, if she was lying down, she looked normal, she didnt look pregnant, not that anyone else besides her father would notice, lying down her appearance was safe from him, not that it had changed much, she knew that if she sat or stood up he would be able to see it on her. She just had to stay lying on her belly, if she lay on her side, he would know, the problem was not hiding her appearance, but keeping her emotions under control.

Katili made his entrance. Now what seemed like a normal entrance to Niara, was especially surprising to Sitawi. His leader, the cruel and unforgiving lion who only knew of killing and tortured, actually walked towards his daughter with affection in his eyes. Sitawi, who Katili instantly knew was there, had never seen his king in such a manner; especially before a subject. There was power in his strides and authority in his gaze, but his features were soft at the vision of his daughter. Sitawi merely kept quiet, after the glances that told him ‘you interfere, and you’ll die.’
Katili lift his maw high, strongly alert to the sudden position of his daughter. He felt her move, and lay with an unnatural position and fear. He didn’t know straight away what her problem was, but as the father of the princess and acutely aware of everything about her; he would eventually know. But for the time, he shrugged off the feeling, believing she may have eaten some strange meat, like she had as a cub. With that uncommon thought from his mind, the malice of his familiar smirk rose and his features suddenly changed from soft to indifferent.
"I need to know where you were!" He snapped; not asking her, but demanding her, his temper flaring and his paw prints directing towards Niara. He stared at her long and hard. While he didn’t flinch and never once took his suspicious orbs from her, Katili only grew angrier by the minute. By now, even the most toughest lions would of confessing, but he knew his daughter knew him as well as he knew her.
