Katili’s mane flamed from his muscular body, glistening a deep charcoal color beneath the sun. While the lionesses of his clan form a party to hunt, the large male lion sat beneath the shade of a lone bush. With his land dying and the prey becoming scarce, his pride was slowly losing patience. Sharp talons dug into the sand at the thought of the weakness of his clan. So far he was able to control them with mere threats, then when the cheetahs began to rebel, his clan too seem to take the hint of rebellion. It was until he massacred a few cheetahs, did his pride finally returned to their rightfully killer instincts.
The male growled a deep and menacing threat towards the surrounding lions. No sooner than he allowed himself to think, there always seemed to be desperate lone lions around to steal what was left of his kingom. Muscles rippled beneath his pelt once the mighty king sat in a right up position. Angered by the filthy, weak lions with their pathetic attempts to steal his lionesses and his land; Katili took a few long strides. At the mere sight of him, a few lone rogues scampered away like cowards. It wasn’t until he snarl a beastly roar, the rest followed the cowards like shadows.
Katili shook his mane free from the dust collect. Though he wasn’t exactly clean, the scar marks on his pelt gathered through years of battle looked regal on the proud king. Now bored and considering to rampage on the cheetahs, Katili looked over the horizon. He knew the lionesses would be back from their hunt and would declare himself to be the first to eat.

Aly had heard the other lionesses going off to hunt, sometimes she felt sad that she couldnt hunt, her dark gold pelt shone in the suns rays, her deep brown eyes seemed to glitter, she lay in the tall savannah grass, tail flicking back and forth, her ears twitched as she listened to all the sounds around her, after she could no long hear the other females she got to her paws, she turned and walked off in the direction of the den, extended claws clinking on the ground as she walked, she continued onwards, oblivious to the world around her, she stumbled a little and then tripped over a rock, she cursed at herself then pulled herself up, shaking the dust from her body, she then sat down and licked at her paw, she could taste blood in her mouth, the rock had cut her paw, she gently licked at the wound, but then something caught her attention, a noise, it wasnt loud, barely audiable, but she knew someone was there, she let out a warning growl to whoever it might be, telling them she would attack if they came any closer

The male would only sit there, declaring himself above anyone and all who came into his presence. So when a female, whom he known for awhile, came close to his precise location, he kept quiet. The lionesses he knew was blind, more blind than a bat at day break. Yet, when she came close to a sharp rock and cut herself open, Katili’s tail flicked at her ignorance. Yes, he had special plans for her and he intended to use her in the future, but he found her completely useless sometimes. Here a lionesses was who could not hunt. A warrior she was, but huntress she was not.
The silence that filled the air was heavy. Even a young cub or newborn would of shut their annoying mouths when in the presence of Katili, as if they knew death was close by if they even peeped. He followed the lioness close by and with sudden haste proclaimed that territory his and allowed the lioness to he was there.
"You should be with the cubs. Seems only suitable you stay with the ones who are useless and cannot hunt." The words Katili spoke were sharp and held nothing back. It words could injure, many animals on living on his land would be tossing in pain.

she spun around, brown eyes staring right into his, and although she could not see, she seemed to glare at him, she dipped her head to him, only out of respect, "but they will not be useless for much longer" she fired back at him, she knew what he was getting at, but she just pushed it aside for now, she padded up to him, looking him right in the eye, she could hear his breathing, her ear twitched a little and heard his heart beating faintly, but it seemed to pick up a beat or two as she walked straight past him, she turned back just before she dissapeared into the den with the cubs, "and if i am so useless, why did you take me in" she held back a growl, then turned and walked into the darkness of the den, she lay down by the three only cubs of the pride, who only seemed to want to play with her tail as she flicked it back and forth in annoyance

When the female approached him, not very elegantly he assume, King Katili simply yawned. Though he notice she bestowed him the proper greeting for respect, the male didn’t acknowledge that or Aly. Instead, he assumed position on a near by rock which was close to the entrance of the cavern. He despised the cubs within and not once entered that cave, only but a few times to kill the little monsters in their sleep. The mothers knew by now his low tolerance of cubs, and learn to either shut them up or hide them.
Before Aly could disappear and just as she slipped past him, Katili lashed out a paw. The strike was not meant to harm nor either take her by surprise. But a reminder who it is she was talking to. "You question me again, and I won’t think twice taking your life." The king’s words whispered, deadly, but only a whisper. He knew by now Aly would be use to his threats, it wouldn’t be until he shouted that his threats would become promises.

she listened to his words, "and you know that if you do that, you will be leaving this pride weaker than it is already, and making it more vunerable to your brother's pride and the cheetahs, if they decide to rebel" she whispered them back to him, she knew that he would now get impatient, but he would take her words seriously, because it was true, the pride was already pretty weak, removing her from it would only make it more vunerable, and Katili always seemed to underestimate her because she was blind, which got on her nerves, why doesnt anyone see her for who she is and not what she looks like, she growled at him, it was a deep rumbling growl, not and angry growl or a growl of attack, but a growl which said if you know me, you will know not to push this any further, her tail flicked in slight annoyance, her deep brown eyes seemed to burn into Katili's, but there was no soul to be seen in hers

The lion’s auds perk rather assertively towards the words whispered from the mouth of Apocalypse. No matter how truthfully she spoke the words, the lioness still did not seem to understand submission. His lands were scarce and during the rather troubled times, loyalty was sometimes question. But so far, he as king was able to strike some fear into their hearts. The mighty paws belonging to the Baya king dug into the stone, only managing to mark deep claw marks. His board muzzle merely observed the blind lioness and though she could not see his deadly glare, he could still see the gleam in her eye.
Katili, shaking the dust from his dark mane, stood from his seating position. Muscles supplied the king strength as he pounced from his stone throne and positioned himself beside the cavern’s entrance. The squealing of cubs submitted to low moan, as the understood who stood before them. The mere sight caused Katili to bring the bloodlust to his eyes. Now call it mother’s intuition or fate, but the fear in the cub’s eyes seem to call out for their mother. Because the exact moment the king thought about the trill of killing the young cubs, there entered their mothers with a few dead carcasses of prey.
Whether it was the heat of the day or the growling of his stomach that made him less of a threat and more of a lion, no one would ever know. For sometime he was silent and nothing good could come from that. There was vicious venom in his strides as Katili left the blind lioness, no longer his thoughts on his words. When nature came into play, he assumed position as the first to eat and to show example his dominance over the females and lower rank lions.
