Rakiri sniffed the air, the breeze filled with unusual smells and sweet aromas. The wind rustled through her pelt, each thick black stripe standing outlandish and striking. But the most and strongest scent was that of the females in heat. Each female, or most females, made sure their scent was valuable for every male. But Rakili, though female, did not release the scent herself. Months ago, coming to this new land, Rakiri was force bred with a nomadic cheetah. However cruel it seem, she accepted it as nature and accepted the fact she’d soon have cubs to look after.
She quietly moved, without a sound. Her stealth was phenomenal and her paw prints were difficult to spot. With a litter of cubs coming, her first, Rakiri wanted to escaped the Baya territory. She knew most lionesses would miss having her, and not because they were attached. Rakiri was obedient, without fault, and tends to deal with her emotions very rarely.
Rakiri, though difficult to spot and difficult to hear, wasn’t all the difficult to smell. She didn’t exactly go downwind and that was her fault. The cheetah’s mind were on her cubs and wondering how many, will the be healthy and what gender they were going to be. She, herself, believed to be just growing out of cub hood and didn’t quite believe she would be a good mother.
Coming to her destination, Rakiri settled into the cave made for the Narua pride. Carrying herself over to the cavern wall, somewhat with difficulty, Rakiri settled herself in a comfortable position and felt already tired of her extra weight. She couldn’t run well and once the Baya Clan started noticing, Rakiri knew if she didn’t want her cubs killed, she needed to take it easy.
The female, and pregnant cheetah, perk her ears towards the cave. She wouldn’t think anyone would be here because of the midday where everyone is out eating or tending to the Bayas. But there was an unusual sound coming from some place and though Rakiri knew Bayas were too busy to follow her, it didn’t hurt taking extra precaution. In sake of her future cubs.

Chaucer was picking his way through the long dry grass, making lots of noise as he did so, it was a good thing he wasnt hunting, he would definately gone hungry, but he had just eaten as so he was quite happy just wandering around the territory. The male cheetah picked up speed, and frolicked along happily, his slender althletic body gleaming with health, his mucles rippling under his pelt, he was a handsome sight. For some reason he was looking at his front legs as he ran, he didnt normally do it, and it was too late to stop by the time he had accidently run into a pregnant, but stunningly beautiful female cheetah, he backed up a little from her and dipped his head to her, "I ist so sorry mizz, i did not see you dere" he said to her, his accent strong, but understandable at least.
[OOC: sorry about that, its alot harder to write in an accent than speak in one, but i am sure you dont mind, lol]

Rakiri was half startled when she felt an oncoming force rushed into her. It wasn’t enough to harm her, but enough to catch her off guard and back away a few feet. Her auds laid gently against her skull, her temper rising. But when she laid her orbs on the male before her, Rakiri’s temper disappear quickly as it came. The male, who did apologize was quite handsome. He had no scars and a very beautiful coat, which was rare since their pride became the slaves of the Baya Pride. Stepping to the side, she looked closely, almost examining the male she never met before. A sudden curiosity swept over the female.
“You don’t have to worry about,” Rakiri began, taking a second to try and understand his accent. He spoke real different than what she was use to. “I’m only glad you didn’t knock me completely over. If I laid down, I wouldn’t probably get up.” The female cheetah joke, slightly telling the truth. She walked close to him, wondering what sort of cheetah would be free of scars and speak with an unusual accent. “You’re new here, right?” Rakiri asked, now setting her hindquarters to the earth. “You’re probably not from around here, are you?”

His ears perked as she began to talk, his light green orbs resting on her pretty face, he too laughed at her joke, he stood there, head high, shoulders back, athletic body pristene as she inspected him, he smiled charmingly as she sat near him, "yar, i ist new here, anz no, i ist not vom around here, i vas born in Germany, i vas a pet for rich familie, but oder humans tought it vas a bad idea, so i am now here" he said happily, in some ways he was sad he was no longer with his humans, it was all he had know for three years, but he was enjoying free life, seeing new things and learning new things, stuff he would not have done if he had stayed in Germany. The more he looked at the female, the prettier she seemed to be, even though she was heavily pregnant, but that didnt bother him in the slightest, "My narma ist Chaucer" he said properly introducing himself to her.

Rakiri turned her maw to the side at the word of humans. She, of course, knew what humans were, but haven’t seen one up close. Yet, when he spoke of a place called Germany, the cheetah had no idea where that was. Rakiri smiled and scratched the soiled earth with her claws. The male cheetah was much more relaxing to talk to, but than after taking only orders from the Bayas as her only source of conversation, most anything would suffice. But his strange accent was fun to ear, something different.
“Humans?” Rakiri question, trying to only imagine what’d been like to live with humans; the furless, two legged creatures who often killed their kind for sport. “You lived with them?” Rakiri’s curiosity got the best of her and found herself bewildered and somewhat upset. Of course, she really didn’t know humans were all different and not like the hunters. “What was it like ?” She asked. But before the male got a chance to reply the pregnant female cast her mind of the idea for a minute and bowed before the male as a sign of respect. “It’s really nice to meet you, Chaucer. My name is Rakiri.”

Slightly confused of the reason to dipping her head to him, he too dipped his to her "zer pleazure ist all mine" he said with a charming grin "zats a very pretty narma you have" he said politely, then he gave a flick of his tail, "yar i lived vith humans, for three yarhers, i vas spoilt rotten by them, it vas difficult ven i first arrived here, but its goot zat i am a quick leaner" he said remembering what his family was like, and he was quite confused as to why she looked so shocked, he knew all humans were different but had no clue about hunters and poachers, he smiled again "i used to have a collar, a big, thick leather one, but it vas only for show to make me look good" as he said this he showed the female his neck, and there, sure enough was a faint band of hair laying flat, he smiled at the female again, he couldnt help but notice how beautiful she was.

Rakiri blinked a few times, questioning what a collar was. Some reason the word itself seem against nature, against their wild nature. She had no idea what the object could be, but her instincts said it was something that tamed the passionate wild spirit that animals often possessed. Seemingly, there was a fine line where Chaucer’s sleek pelt laid against him flatly. Her orbs stared in awe, not because she hadn’t seen nothing like it, but because it almost wrapped around the male cheetah’s neck. Her golden eyes looked closer, bring her maw closer to Chaucer.
“I don’t understand,” Rakiri said rather bluntly, not taking her orbs off the unusual marking. “It almost sounded like you enjoyed living with humans.” The pregnant female was astonished how her statement came out. She was more surprised than anything and when she advert her gaze too meet Chaucer’s eyes, Rakiri could only stare. Her entire life, humans have been these monsters who’d hunt and kill their kind, for who knows for what reasons. So when she sat, literally, near someone who lived with them and survived, it almost seemed against nature.
Rakiri rotated her glances and took another look at Chaucer. For whatever reason, instead of looking like he was harmed, the male cheetah looked well groomed and incredible seek. Actually, he was not only charming, but very nice to the eyes.

Chaucer's own light green orbs followed the females movemtents, he smiled softly as she came closer to inspect him, her beautiful pools of light shimmering as they scanned over his neck, seeming to try and make out what the strange flat band of hair around his neck was from. Now it was Chaucer's turn to be confused, he blinked his eyes and flickered his ears a little, "living viv ze humans i vas treated like a king, all my food vas brought to me on a large silver dish, i vas adored by zem" he said, he understood that this female had lived in wild her whole life, but he knew nothing of hunters or poachers, he knew that some humans could be mean, but not mean enough to kill an animal, "i take it you dont like ze humans around here? Are'nt zey friendlich?" he questioned her, wondering why she seemed so supprised. He looked at her just at the same moment she looked into his eyes, she was staring at him, but he was equally staring back, after a few moments he averted his gaze to the horizon. After a few minutes he looked back at Rakiri, this time really taking her in, he noticed her odd paterning on her pelt, her gorgeous golden eyes, her long sleek legs, and this time he also properly noticed she was pregnant, he had known she was when he literally bumped into her, but he had never looked at her this way before now, his light green eyes flicked and gazed into her golden ones, all he managed to do was smile softly.

A king? Now when Rakiri heard the male cheetah state he was treated like royalty, or what she knew as royalty, it literally made her question the nature of humans. Chaucer was obviously honest and truthful, she didn’t need to think twice about that. Her maw tilt to the side, her orbs studying Chaucer’s gentle features. No matter where he came from, wherever Germany was, there was an obvious exotic aura about him.
She practically looked at Chaucer suspiciously, when he commented on her dislike for humans. She understood right then, they came from completely different words. "I suppose, you wouldn’t know their impact here." Rakiri stated, looking out to the horizon when Chaucer turned to do so. The sight was magnificent, a rare moment where there was no war nor problems in the world. "They do real horrible things to us. That is, if they are able to track us down." The pregnant cheetah wasn’t sure if she should tell him what humans normally do when they’re out around the savannah. Chaucer had respect for them, and she really didn’t want him to loose that innocence she was beginning to like.
"Well, let me just say, when you see one: run. The less we see humans, the better." Rakiri commented, now looking down at her swollen stomach. "I want the future to be bright for my cubs. Even if they came by accident, I hope they never have to see a human." Rakiri blinked when she realized what she said. "Well, I mean, I hope they don’t come into contact with the bad ones."
Just realizing now the true color of Chaucer’s eyes, she grinned when the sun flashed a great color and made them the most emerald the savannah ever seen. Though green might be a rare color there, she knew it was a color for hope, the color she hope to see more of one day.

Chaucer was more confused than ever, he had heard of humans being mean, heard them shouting and seen them hurting each other, but never had he seen or heard of them hurting animals, so when she said about running from humans he was taken aback, "i dont understand, you mean zey hurt you?" he asked with a confused look in his eye, and then she said bad ones, to him, no human was bad, yes they could be mean to each other but he didnt know you could split them into good and bad groups, he blinked a few times, trying to get take in the information, "vhat do you mean by 'bad vuns'?" he asked, now becoming overly confused about the whole situation, he sat down looking at the pregnant female. He thought back over the converstaion, and thats when another question hit him, "your cubs are an accident?" he asked going off the subject of humans, he knew how the whole mating thing worked, but he had only technically been a proper cheetah for a year and so the idea of a force breeding never crossed his mind, "how can zey be an accident? zey cant be, you have a mate... dont you?" he asked, assuming that she had a mate because she was pregnant, his perido green eyes flashed as he looked at her again, everything was new to him and it was all mind boggling, it was going to take some time to get used to the life of a cheetah, but everyone has to start somewhere.

The sun setting below the horizon looked the same it did every night. But this time, dusk seem to be peaceful and without the Baya there to command every second, it was nice to enjoy a conversation that didn’t involve blood lust. Rakiri's auds perked at Chaucer's voice. Immediately, once he asked, she wanted to giggle. He was, to say the least, very innocent and cute when he asked question. To her, he seemed very much like a cub--new to the world, innocent on death and war, even Chaucer had the pure and scar-free pelt as a cub. But nevertheless, when she really looked at him, you can tell in his green eyes there was much he experienced that most cheetahs would never in their entire lifetime. He knew of life outside the wild.
Rakiri smiled, enjoying his questions. It wasn’t often someone asked her a question and very rarely did anyone stay around to listen. "Well, your question on humans..." The cheetah began, but decided to go against common sense. "They’re mysterious creatures. I’m sure there are good ones who might protect us. I don’t think we have to worry." The female answered, with some truth and a little bit of hope. Sure, she never really thought of good humans and maybe in a perfect world, somewhere there were humans protecting them.
Rakiri stood, with a little difficulty. "Um, how do I put this--" She replied, once Chaucer asked about mates. Instantly, her orbs traveled to the sky and looked forward seeking for a good answer. "I'm not sure if humans are mates for life, but if they are, you can think about it this way." She leaned against the cavern wall, looking toward Chaucer. "Have you ever seen a human male leave a human female with their cubs? That’s sort of like the way I am. I have no mate and I suppose it’s just nature for males and females to do things like this."

Chaucer's eyes glanced towards the setting sun, the sky had gone from a bright blue, to an aray of oranges and pinks within about an hour, Chaucer couldnt help but smile at the beautiful sight his eyes lay on, but his attention was brought back as the pregnant female once again spoke, his ears perked and eyes shining as he listened in interest at her answers. Many a time he had seen humans becoming mates and then sometime later they would shout at ech other and never see each other again, but it wasnt always like that, some humans were together for life, "ve are not as confuzing as humans" he laughed, he then looked at her with a soft smile on his maw, "so you is pregnant, but has no mate hmm?" he said, it wasnt really a question, more of a confirmation. He looked back out towards the sun again, which had now completely dissapeared beyond the horizon and the beautiful pink and orange sky was fading into the navy blue of the night. Chaucer lay himself down, his long fluffy tail curling around him, he looked up at Rakiri and smiled, once again his heart seemed to flutter, but he didnt know what it meant so he tried to ignore it.

When Chaucer suddenly confronted her with the correct answer, the female unexpectedly became embarrassed. Her auds perked in surprised than turned her maw, just so she could shrug away the embarrassment. She knew he was intelligent, but to tell the truth, she didn’t expect him to arrive to the conclusion so fast. The way he spoke made her feel vulnerable about the situation and for the first time since she knew about the pregnancy; the cheetah didn’t know what the future would bring. Her claws chipped at the stone beneath them, daring not to speak. Not trusting herself to speak.
The cubs inside her became more real than any other moment. Sure, Rakiri knew she would have cubs and teach them about the cruelties of life. But the female never thought once about them without a father or other family to look after them. Sure, the nature of cheetahs were like most; female raised the young. But, why all of a sudden did she feel sorry for her cubs? Hoping they wouldn’t have a difficult like as she had?
Rakiri blinked than sneezed, out of habit or just to cover her short moment of thought, she didn’t know. Instead of thinking further, the female cheetah shook her spotted coat of imaginary fleas and etc. The sun was beyond the horizon and slowly growing dark. Her golden eyes grew accustomed to the darkness, and slowly looked towards Chaucer. "Erm, yeah, that’s basically the truth." Rakiri finally confessed. "I don’t have a mate. But I’ll provide for my cubs, as if I did have a mate." She took a step outside the caver and moved towards the outside. "I mean, there were many cheetahs I knew who didn’t grow up with a father or mother." But suddenly her curiosity caught her attention, than she looked back. "What about you? Did you have a mother or father? Or were you raised by humans your entire life?"
