Sitawi paced, the evening coming to an end. Since the night before, all the lion could do was worry. Normally, such emotions were foreign and distant. But unlike every other night where he’d take residence beneath the dead tree and sleep, Sitawi was pacing back and forth. Every stride he took, every breath of air was a reminder what happened. There was nothing anyone could do; not that he was known for accepting sympathy. In fact, he was known for his short temper and indifferent attitude. His muscles rippled beneath his mahogany pelt, the sight rather attractive if not the strain frown upon his muzzle.
His claws extracted, digging deeply into the earth below him. His tailed swayed behind him, flowing away like a smooth river. His mane, though matted with dirt, appear more masculine than his distant orbs. The orbs, however they may appear, did not look like a normal lions. But like a dead soul, waiting for his sentence. Sitawi lowered his maw with the sound of a near by pride member moved in the distance. Already, he was snapping at a normal noise that happened every night.
Steadily, he removed himself away from the ground and onto the rocks. He couldn’t care less who was up at this early hour. His mind was on the brink with problems. Without Katili, who had been missing for a few days, the pride was gone berserk. No one, really, would listen to his son- Ajay. And with Niara missing, there was no one to take control over the pride. Bayas were known for their merciless killing and uncontrollable blood lust and really he was no different, but there was a little bit of sanity left in him. The pride needed order and without that, there was no parties of hunters to search for food and for that, many of the Bayas were fallen ill.
Sitawi, growling and snarling at the noises near by, began to bother him. With all the distractions, his mind was losing that little reality grip he tried to hold on to. Without thinking, he released a deep, loud and enraged roar; allowing everything or anyone he was there and they needed to shut up!
