I have this neat idea. Or I like to think it is…>.> Okay, it begins with a reckless and young Jema lion (my future character, maybe) decides to foolishly rage war against Katili. Only, but a few followed him because everyone knows of Katili’s merciless army and his heartless killing. It was a short, but bloody massacre and most of the young male’s army was murdered in cold blood and the other half retreated, like good and cautious warriors they should be. Through all of this, the male survives, though badly wounded. He is unable to escape and is founded by an unlikely character. Katili’s daughter and when she nurses him, though she is much like her father, unusual love begins to blossom.
Now there is more to the plot, but after discussing this with a friend, they told me it was like ripping the idea of Lion King. You can imagine heartache to discover I wasn’t original as I thought and all the sulking I did after thinking about this plot for a week. But if anyone is still interested, I was thinking Katili, while his daughter falls in love with this young male, is currently training his son, Ajay, to become the next king.
When Katili discovers his daughter, first and eldest daughter falls in love with a pride member from Jema pride, his heart begins to become shrouded in more darkness and completely loses sight, metaphorically speaking. His anger somehow takes control and he attacks his brother’s land alone. Now after the disappearance of Katili, a few days later no one from his pride have heard anything. Many believe he’s dead. After a week and no word of Katili, many pride members look for a new leader. This is where either Ajay comes in or whoever Katili was training to take his place, although he didn’t mean it for many years later.
By this time in the plot, I was thinking the Baya Clan could be under a new ruler, maybe see how the pride responds and maybe have Cheetahs or the Jema pride take an opportunity to take advantage of the young and new ruler’s inexperience. Or even have like a Baya rebellion or something. Whatever. But so what happens when Katili returns maybe a month later or something? Things are in turmoil and now there are messes to clean up.
Like having this new tiger cub in the pride. His daughter in love with a Jema lion, and pregnant? And his son, Ajay, having difficulties with everything around him.
I thought it’d be a neat way to progress the plot and have every species of cat involved. There can be brother vs. brother, love trying to survive a war, cheetahs trying to earn their freedom, etc.
So what do any of you think? Is it a plot worth investing in? Is it even interesting? I do hope so. Poor Tattered thought more than usual…Anyway, if you want to give feedback, it’s much appreciated.
