Who i am
Description: His pelt is a shiny black color, free of scars. For he hasn't been in a battle yet seeing as he's just out of cubhood. He has yellow eyes, and long front claws.
Life Left Behind: The cubs suckling from their mother murmured and growled softly. The mother was a beautiful black jaguar with a shiny black coat, she stared lovingly at her cubs. One was called Veto. Both cubs were males, and the mother was curled up inside a den, their father had been out finding food.
Veto yawned abit and sat up, his eyes were open and so was his brothers'. They would be weaned from milk very soon and he was eager to receive a piece of what mum and dad always ate, the other brother, Terra, opened his eyes wide blinking a few times then he growled, pouncing unexpectedly on Veto.
Veto gave a play growl and twisted his body jumping backward from Terra and they started a play fight, scratching and nipping at eachothers' paws and shoulders. Their mother was watching them, her eyes were full of a love only a mother could have for her children. Suddenly frantic running was heard, their mother perked her ears and stood up quickly, the ruff of her neck was fluffed out, fangs bared slightly.
A male jaguar barreled through the grass to the den was flung into the air, startling the two cubs as they instinctively jumped behind their mother. The male's jaws held a piece of meat and the mother smiled and trotted over to him. He growled and tried to move past her but she blocked his path and started to ask him. "Whats wro-" A angered human suddenly came on foot with a metal pipe in his hands. "THIS'LL TEACH YOU TO STEAL FROM MY FAMILY!" He screamed lifting the pipe to the sky.
Terra and Veto sat where their mother had abandoned them to greet their father, there they saw something that would disturb them throughout their lives. The human beat their father to death and brutally beaten their mother. She faked death and lied in her own blood until he left tossing the bloodied pipe aside and raced away.
The cubs sat shivering, Terra was the one that crept forward. He nudged his mother and she responded by mewing and lifting her front half up with her front legs. Terra yipped sadly and she managed to crawl toward Veto as Terra helped her by shoving her along as if nothing traumatizing happened at all. Veto glanced at his father and then his mother who was deeply depressed, he could tell, he also knew she was in extreme pain.
Her backlegs were both broken, some of her ribs had been bashed into her chest, Terra stood by his mother and the family stayed that way until someone saw them.
Their mother growled protectively and then they lifted her up and tossed her into a metal box with long things resembling pipes. Veto yowled and screeched as he and his brother had been tossed in another one of the cages, his father put in a plastic bag. Terra curled up to his brother whining and crying softly and their mother reassured them that is was alright, which it wasn't.
At the vet's Veto's mother was put down because of her aggression and severe wounds. Veto and Terra however were taken away to be experimented on in a far-away place. His brother was first and after a few painful days died from an injection of rat DNA, it turned out that the rat suffered from being exposed to radiation. Veto however had lived and was testing womens perfume as well as eyedrops.
And then, he met Kacey. His best friend. How did Veto escape, you may be wondering. When they opened the cage to feed him, he barged past the human. Then he picked the lock on Kacey's cage. When they were outside, Veto went toward the hodari pride while Kacey went to live as a nomad. He has no idea what became of Kacey, but he hopes they will cross paths one again one day.
My Understanding: Veto is a very confident character, he can be classified as an optimist but once he looses all sense of his mind, and the fight or flight instinct kicks into his system, Veto will do anything to get past or through the object endangering him.
The jaguar is normally polite unless he becomes nervous, and absolutely in no way suspicious of meeting new cats as long as he knows that she or he wont attack him or try to force him to do something, mate, leave, ect.
He can get cocky at times if angered or agitated and thats when its best to leave Veto with his own thoughts. Just because he is almost always giddy and elated, doesn't mean he wont try to tear off your head if you even try to play around and make jokes.
Likes: to joke around, starting to like females
Dislikes: those who call him insane, metal pipes
