some promises fade « Thread Started on Jul 24, 2009, 9:52pm »
Sitawi grudgingly tracked pass another large elephant skull. Every skeleton he passed, many with broken ivories and crushed skulls, each seemed to grow more in size. His sandy pelt glistened with sweat, his golden orbs gleaming almost if he had hidden a universal secret. His gigantic paws swept over ribcages and odd placed bones. The male lion had a reason to be here and while he crept closer to his target, the sooner he realized the end was coming to a near. His white canines shone as his maw was drawn into a murderous smirk.
Days ago, after the sudden disappearance of Katili, the prey of the baya clan were slowly coming in a well known extinction. With everyone pushing towards insanity because of lack of game and lack of water, every lion of the pride were swept into a mood of massacre and hatred. Sitawi’s auds flickered at the sounds around him; none of them from the usual. Mice pattering against the ground in search for edibles, the thunder clouds roaring in the distance, and himself breathing heavily as he picked his strides into a greater speed. The lion raced expertly around the maze-like graveyard and dodge sudden bones that were buried deep into the earth. Finally, after a long run, the muscular and mighty lion came to a deadly halt.
The sudden half caused his paws to burn. His breath short of air desperately sought for more. But as he attempted to breathe faster, the air smelt of poison and death. He merely grunt and took only a few steps before coming to a stop. His final destination. Before him stood a powerful tower of a of bones and dirt. Forged together into one, the tower held a very interesting character; one Sitawi need. One that will help him bring down the Jema Clan.

The tigress stood tall upon the tower forged of Earth and Death. With front paws a step lower then her hind paws, her figure slanted to a stand off poise. She lifted her head at attention from her meal. Her lower legs and chest stained a rusted red, but her jaw dripped recent matter of life. Both auditives perked forward, tuned to hear every sound. In what little light the storm clouds allowed, her pelt gleamed a maze of stripes, and smears of crimson with each taken breath.
The air level with the tower was no more pure than the air hovering just above the bones. But wasn't as deadly as the Verde tinted mist that crept silently across the terrain of decaying carcasses. Though it lay just outside the Nomadic Lands, the Elephant Grave Yard belonged to the Baya Pride. And though she knew this, she had no pride and no lands. But nevertheless, Miyu fought many battles for the self proclaimed right to be here, whether she had one or not.
A battle ready snarl emitted from her chest with a tone of animosity, but not as a warning. It would be the only one she'd give, though it wasn't given at all. Her orbs of orange glistened as they came to rest upon the young brute that now stood in front of the towering mass. It wasn't known for even Beya lions to wonder mindlessly into the Grave Yard, and this young male seemed prudent on his approach... so why was he here?
She knew not what he wanted and most likely didn't give a damn. Were it any other she wouldn't have given them a second chance to run, but something in the way this cat moved drew her in. Miyu gave a sinister yet charming smile, baring her teeth in interest. She stalkingly climbed down the bones of seemingly mammoth sized proportions, and looked him over once more. Her mind came to the satisfaction if things were to get bloody, the realm would have one more set of bones to complement the ground. Miyu kept her orbs focused as she stopped a few feet short from the opposing cat. She flexed her claws across the surface of a thigh bone, and did not bow; for she held no respect for those who disturbed her of her fruitful tortures.
